Here are some of the projects I'm currently working on!
The Church of Quesadeity: a concerto for Metal Band and Chamber Ensemble, about a cult that worships quesadillas.
This will be my largest piece ever, and it all started with a Title and a Dream.
I have a list of things people have said that would make good titles for a piece, and for whatever reason I wrote down "The Quesadeity" and I always wanted to name a piece that. During my first semester at Michigan State, I was looking through these again and came across it. I also was thinking about the piece that I always wanted to write, which was a concerto for Metal Band (singer, screamer, 2 guitars, bass, drums) and Wind Band (though, I scaled it down to a chamber ensemble for practicality). And then I started thinking about it, and now, I am creating my own fake cult that worships quesadillas. And writing metal music. I have having the time of my life writing this piece.
Rank: Warmaster (Sci-Fi Video Game) Soundtrack
I will working on the soundtrack to a Sci-Fi game that will be coming out within the next few years, so be on the lookout for updates!
- UPDATE: We have a blog now for the video game, and the team and I post some updates there. You can check out the title song on the blog, or on my soundcloud!
Saxophone Quartet and Electronics
I will be writing a piece for Keaton Garrett's Saxophone Quartet here at Michigan State University.
I want to start a Kickstarter at some point to raise money for an album of my own music, with all professional recordings. I am still in the planning stages of this, but I can say for sure that Feedback, Alley Cat, and The Woman on the Rocking Chair will be included on the album. I hope to hire the performers who I wrote the piece for to record the album.
