Here are some of the projects I'm currently working on!
The Cult of Quesadeity: a concerto for Metal Band and Wind Band
This will be my largest piece ever, and it all started with a Title and a Dream.
I have a list of things people have said that would make good titles for a piece, and for whatever reason I wrote down "The Quesadeity" and I always wanted to name a piece that. During my first semester of grad school, I was looking through these again and came across it. I also was thinking about the piece that I always wanted to write, which was a concert for Metal Band (singer, screamer, 2 guitars, bass, drums) and Wind Band. And then I started thinking about it, and now, I am creating my own fake cult that worships quesadillas. And writing metal music. I have having the time of my life writing this piece.
Rank: Warmaster (Sci-Fi Video Game) Soundtrack
I will working on the soundtrack to a Sci-Fi game that will be coming out within the next few years, so be on the lookout for updates!
- UPDATE: We have a blog now for the video game, and the team and I post some updates there. You can check out the title song on the blog, or on my soundcloud!
Saxophone Quartet and Electronics
I will be writing a piece for Keaton Garrett's Saxophone Quartet here at Michigan State University. It will be an elegy, and a call to action, for the victims of the Parkland School Shooting that happened in February.
I want to start a Kickstarter at some point to raise money for an album of my own music, with all professional recordings. I am still in the planning stages of this, but I can say for sure that Feedback, Alley Cat, and The Woman on the Rocking Chair will be included on the album. Trio Jinx will be recording Alley Cat, and Kevin Madison (who is currently at Boston Conservatory and is an awesome guy and pianist) will be recording The Woman on the Rocking Chair.
